I just came back from the wards young mens activity to California. It was a great time and I will post about that at another time. I just wanted to take a minute and tell Cherise and Mondo how much I appreciate them.
I called Cherise on Wed. and told her I was coming to California and wanted to get together. I know it hasn't been that long since she was in town, but I really miss having her here.
Thursday Mondo, Reece, Marcos , and Isaiah drove down to take me out for dinner. I don't get to see her kids very often and was glad that they brought the whole family. Marcos was slightly shy at first, but Iasaiah was not. We ate at an outdoor taco shop that they like in San Clemente. I can see why they like living so close to the ocean, the weather was perfect, and it was fun to sit out and just talk. Mark finally warmed up and shared his drink and showed me his transformers. Iasaiah ran around looking for an imaginary dog. I would say that they are getting so big, but Marcos still seems so small. Later they dropped me off up town and I walked home. If I had my wish it would be that I could live by the beach in California and never have to go on the freeways. The weather is perfect, the ocean is fun, and it is one of the few places that I feel totally relaxed. Maybe I am thinking about things the wrong way, and I should move in with Cherise instead of wishing for her to move back here.
Anyway I was glad to have the time to spend with them and love to see what a cute family they make. Mondo is such a good Dad and it is obvious that he loves his boys, I am surprised that he hasn't got Marcos surfing yet, but I am expecting that blog soon.
I agree with you about living on the beach! No mistaking, those boys have Mecham genes.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to live by the beach. I did when I was a little girl, but then life changed and I ended up here. Cherise is such a cutie, as are those boys.
