I'm supposed to blog about my kids

I have been informed that I am supposed to blog about my kids. This should be fairly easy to do since I am proud of all of them. I don't quite know how to make all of the gadgets work, so I am probably doing this wrong to. Jeff had a choir concert that he was asked to sing a solo for. I am amazed at how little fear my kids have when it comes to performing, but they have always been able to just get up and do their thing without any fear. Here is a youtube link to that performance.

Jake is a Cello player. This is one of his first recitals. Since then he has continued to play and is improving all the time. I went to practice with him the other day and watched his lesson. He is sight reading and the teacher is real impressed with his abilities. It is funny to see how he interacts with his teacher. Mrs Robin and Jake have a good time and joke back and forth. If anyone is looking for a good teacher that is patient and lives in the Northwest she is excellent.

Amanda plays the violin and has played with the Deseret Strings youth group for several years. This year she was asked to join the Leavitt orchestra even though she does not take it as a class.

Here is a clip from last years Christmas performance, I know that Christmas is over, but I still need to download some of the clips off of our camera. Jeff accompanied her and it was fun to see them perform together.

Tim is our football player. This is from his flag football season. I will try to find a clip from regular season, but for now this is all I could find. He has been playing since he was 8 years old. It was funny to go ut and see his team. Their helmets were HUGE, and they were cute. Now that he is in High School, I like to watch him play. The only problem I have is that some of the kids that he plays against are so big and could probably crush a baby elephant. (#5)

It has been fun to watch them all grow and turn into their own selves. They all have their own likes and dislikes, talents and weaknesses. As a dad I am amazed by their talents and abilities. They all have amazed both Kathy and I, and if anyone were to ask what I am most proud of in this life, it would be easy to admit that it is my kids. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I count my blessings that I have them in my life.

  1. As a dad you every right to be proud of your kids, just as your dad was of you. Looks like some talented kids, at least these two, sure the others are too. Maybe someday the ESPN camera will zoom in you guys in the grandstands watching Tim at a college game.
