Mechams in the Bahamas

During the 1st week of December we were lucky enough to go on a trip to Paradise Island in the Bahamas. We had a blast staying at the hotel, going to waterpark and even taking a Catamaran snorkeling trip to a reef just off the coastline.
Jake wants to write about this trip, so I am going to turn the computer over to him for an update.

when I was at the Bahamas I met a friend named PJ. I met him at a pool party we played a basketball carnival game that the guy in charge made PJ and I take a few steps back to shoot. We got lots of baskets and won prizes.
This was at the waterpark by our hotel. There were lots of cool slides. We went on all of them. We went on one slide called the Leap of Faith.
It was an 80 ft drop down through a clear tube that had live shark tank. That was my favorite ride. There was also a lazy river that was 1 mile long. An inner tube ride that went down and then water pushed you back up. There was also a green slide that was pitch black and so steep that it felt like you were flying off the slide. The water was warm and I liked that part. At the bottom you ended up in an aquarium with fish swimming all around.
This is our hotel, My Dad put the picture in wrong, so you have to turn your head to see it.
This is when we went snorkeling. We went on a boat for a long ride. When we stopped, we put on our snorkeling gear and jumped off the boat.
The water was cold. I floated around with my Dad. I got to touch 2 fish and hold a live star-fish. We also saw a really cool fish that looked like it had feathers, We were told that it was really poisonous and was called a Lion Fish. The water was so clear, it was like swimming in a fish tank. There were lots of cool fish, some with stripes, and some with long noses.
I stayed out almost the whole time and was one of the last ones to get back on the boat. On the way back to shore the captain put up the sails and we sailed back to the Hotel.
This was one of the sharks in the Leap of Faith fish tank. It was funny to see all the grown ups that were afraid to go down the slide. One lady was crying and kept changing her mind. They finally had push her down the tube and she screamed the whole way down.

This slide was the racing slide. I race my Sister Amanda and beat her every time. She is a girl and is not very fast.
This is on our boat ride back from snorkeling. They gave us a soda and chips. We talked to a guy named
Wally who worked on the boat that was really nice. He told us all about the island. He said that he was afraid of the sharks even though he lived in the Bahamas his whole life.
This picture is in front of the hotel. There was a fountain with sautes of gold horses. Our trip was fun and I never wanted to leave. My Dad said that it was too expensive to stay longer. The man has to do what the man has to do.
At nights we got to see movies in the movie for free, and one night I got to go to the kids club. We did a Mario Kart tournament, and I won all 4 times. The food was really good, and they had a buffet for the adults and the little kids. I hope someday we can go back.
