Thanks Dan and Karen

.

I have been out of town for the last couple of day doing a marathon job up in Utah. After putting in a full day on Wed we drove up and worked until 10:00 at night. The next morning we started at 6:00 and worked until 9:00 at night. The work was extremely exhausting and we then had to drive home. Gassing up in Cedar City we found all the places to eat closed so continued to come home. We were so tired physically that we didn't even talk. (me and two of my workers).
Usually when this is the situation it is inevitable that something will go wrong, and last night was no exception. At Washington the fuel gauge came on. The truck sputtered and we could only limp along at 15 m.p.h.. I didn't know what to do but knew that Dan and Karen lived in Huricane. How do you make that phone call at 12:00 at night. Poor Elisio was so tired, and just wanted to be home, so I called. Karen answered the phone and woke up Dan. We made it to the Chevy dealership in St. George. Dan and Karen showed up with an extra truck for us to get home.
I am writing this post to tell Dan and Karen thanks. I don't think they realize how much I appreciate their willingness to help last night when I had nowhere else to turn, but also for the blessing they are to my family. I am certain that that was probably my last huge favor card and Dan is probably checking on adding caller I.D., but we finally made it home at 2:00 a.m. instead of sleeping in the truck.

  1. Such nice people! I was in Hurricane yesterday--I didn't know that was where they live. I hope the truck doesn't require a lot of work.

  2. You're lucky to have great in-laws. (I can speak from experience) Hope the truck isn't too bad.
